Tunes For The Weekend Shift #1

I've decided that I'm going to start a little playlist. This playlist is going to be comprised of a couple songs that I like that I think will help me and possibly you as well enjoy the Weekend Shift. Of course my taste in Music is diverse and considerably eclectic, but I'm sure than you'll be able to appreciate the songs that I share with you.

The songs are in order of how I'm feeling them, be sure to comment your views on my playlist and you can suggest songs that you'd think I'd like to listen to :)

1. Kiiara - Gold

This Song Hooked Me Because I'm Obsessed With the Unintelligible Gibberish She Spouts as the Hook. Her Voice is really Electric and This Song Will Prove to be a Major Breakout. I really think she warrants a listen.

2. Desiigner - Panda

The Man Now Known To Many as Desiigner can easily be confused with Future by the untrained ear. This song stands apart from the "Rich $ex" rapper. I'm not gonna type on about some hidden existential meaning to the song, because quite frankly Desiigner is rapping about a black and white car. Needless to say however, you just have to Dab when the man says "I Got Broads in Atlanta"

3. Stormzy - WickedSkengMan 4

His Name's Michael; Big Stormz! Ever since I heard my friends ranting and raving about this grime lord I had to check him out. From time the kid heard 'Shut Up' i fell for Stormzy's quick wit and cheeky disses. WickedSkengMan is as random and perfect as it gets. Perfect addition to the Weekend Playlist

5. Laura Mvula - Make Me Lovely

Cue the strings! Laura Mvula belongs right up there with Lianne La Havas and Adele in my book. Her strong vocals and amazing instrumentals just trap me each time. This song is vastly different from the tempo of the previous 4 songs... a testament to the diversity of this playlist.

6. Ray Parker Jr - A Woman Needs Love

I love this song. It's been around before I was a thought.. but trust me this tune is a classic. It's a lovely mellow jam that gets you in the right groove.

7. Electric Light Orchestra - Don't Bring Me Down

I found this song in the soundtrack to one of my favorite films "Super 8". This 70's disco jam is excellent. No one is gonna "Bring Me Down" from my weekend high.

8. Rhianna - Desperado

BACK TO THE FUTURE!!! Everyone is raving about 'Work' off of Rhianna's 'ANTI' .. but Desperado and its ethereal vocals is definitely my favorite from her latest release.

9. Peabo Bryson - Can You Stop The Rain

Because It's Been Raining Alot :)

10. Kanye West - Hold My Liquor

I just really loved Kanye's 'YEEZUS' i really really did. 'I'm In It' is my all time favorite.... but this song cuts a close second.
