Passion Projects

Writing and Photography are how I chose to create and tell stories. I have been writing in some shape or form since High School and I have been seeing life through a lens for over 10 years. Commercial photography has exhausted me and limited my ability to cultivate my creating and impacted my enthusiasm to share what I made for myself. There are several personal creative projects that I have curated through this space and executed in my own time. I look forward to sharing more with you.

THE UCOM EXPERIENCE

In August 2018, The Cotton Tree teamed up with UCOM and Socaholic UK to share a visual experience of the Mas Band at Nottinghil Carnival. UCOM is one of the premium Mas Troupes in London with an Award winning creative director. The partnership produced a series of posts on the blog chronicling the UCOM Experience as well as following up with a sneak peak at the 2019 installment. It was also accompanied by a full scale Instagram play by play.

Since 2018, The Cotton Tree has been commissioned by Collin Devon Events to document their group travel experience and produce visual imagery that embodies the experience. This partnership has produced imagery that has been featured in Travel Noire and other Black Travel outlets.
